Sorry not a discussion. Just a heart felt thank you to the developers. Being both old and a computer idiot, I have spent countless hours trying to download something playbackable on my pre-intel ibook. Been to forums for clues, sent mails to the beeb, all sorts of things totally alien to me. Absolutely no joy in getting anything to play back without trauma inducing jerkiness. Five minutes after discovering, by chance,Beeb Downloader I was up and running and have watched two, quickly downloaded shows that seem to me pretty bloody good. Plugged the lap top into my ancient B&O tele and the result was perfectly watchable. No need now to give up luxuries, like food, to save up for a tele recorder hard drive thingy. Don't watch much tele myself, but my wife's going think me a hero. Just wish I discovered BD before Larkrise to Candleford expired. Added bonus, the files play in itunes and convert to play on my classic ipod - wonderful.
Thanks very much developers you have made an old man (and woman) very happy. I hope you go to heaven, or, at the very least make millions.
